Hemi in TJ... sure it is on jackstands, but it is in there... The stock 2.5L I4 engine, it was kinda peppy... it went on to a better home! engine, body wiring harness, throttle cable, clutch, etc removed in preparation for hemi :-) passenger side - removed airbox, fusebox, batt, computer, heater hoses, but A/C still in tact. driver side - removed throttle cable, cluytch (not really shown), PS reservoir. Steerign left intact, not sure if the HP 30 with ARB will be used or not. Jim's Hemi Durango... more like a truck engine... and a lot hidden by the cowl... note radiator at angle... Jim's hemi Durango - Driver's side view Jim's hemi Durango - Passenger side view Jim's hemi Durango - close-up of how far back the engine is stuffed... TJ has a a LOT of room compared to this! lockup solenoid and transfer case control damaged before I got the engine... yeah... WTF? 2007 SRT-8 - engine compartment for reference - driver side - looking at battery, ps reservoir, radiator hose, etc. 2007 SRT-8 - engine compartment for reference - passenger side - lookign at things like airbox, A/C lines, etc. 2007 SRT-8 - heater and A/C lines 2007 SRT-8 - airbox 2007 SRT-8 - transmission cooler lines Hangin' hemi :-) perspective...... yeah, it is pretty biog, 70" long... and I am doing this by myself! another view of the engien going in... boy, I could use one of those load leveler things right about now... I sat the engine on the bumper and the t-case on a jack stand to move the hook on the chain to get it to angle down.. just enough clearance... I have to add body lift and raise the engine at the same time to get the required clearance... Driver side motor mount - 1st draft Passenger side motor mount - 1st draft Yes, I am an idiot, those are gas cans, and they are empty, but still bad practice... just like wearing shorts and using the bumper as a workbench :-) Hemi in Commander - PS reservoir\nThanks to Kelvin C.
